HARNETT GOP ANNOUNCES COUNTY CONVENTION SPEAKERS
The Harnett County Republican Party County Convention is set for this Saturday, March 26th. All Registered Republicans are invited and encouraged to attend. Representative Paul “Skip” Stam will keynote a luncheon to begin at 12 Noon. Representative Stam (R, Wake) is sure to deliver an exciting address. As House Majority leader, Stam is leading the charge to reign in government spending and bring honor and trust back to the legislature. Immediately following the luncheon the precinct meetings and county convention will begin.
Representative David Lewis (R, Harnett) will deliver the convention address. Representative Lewis is chairing the Redistricting Committee in charge of redrawing our state legislative and Congressional districts. Jason Lemons, Harnett GOP Chairman, said “We are very lucky to have these two gentlemen speak to us. Representative Stam is widely recognized for his legislative prowess and legal mind. Representative Lewis is one of the hardest working, most respected members of the House. For us to have both Lewis and Stam address the Harnett County Republicans in the same day is truly a gift. We anxiously look forward to their messages. If you have never heard these men speak, I recommend coming out to hear them.”
The luncheon will be catered by Crimson Lights Catering of Dunn. This convention will feature elections for county chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and treasurer. Further, delegates for the State GOP convention will be elected. Lemons further commented, “Saturday will be a truly remarkable day. The luncheon will feature a tremendous speaker and a fantastic meal. The convention will feature a gifted leader and elections of officers that will lead us on our continued course to a more responsible government. I hope to see you there.”
The luncheon and convention will be held at the Harnett County Social Services Commons Area in Lillington. The luncheon starts promptly at noon, with precinct meetings following at 1 p.m. For questions please call 890-1604.
